BIOGRAPHY

​ Max Alessandrini is an Italian saxophonist specializing in the alto saxophone, currently based in Barcelona. His music takes him to perform in Spain, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Japan.

In 1993, he was one of the founders of the band Funk Sinatra, a name he personally proposed. With the group, he played in some of the best clubs in central Italy until 1995, gaining great public acclaim.

In Barcelona, he regularly performs in some of the city’s most renowned venues, such as Marula Café, Jamboree, and Casa Figari, adapting his musical style to different settings and audiences.

Since 2009, he has been collaborating with French DJs Tetro DJ and Said FunkyPeanut DJ, blending jazz and electronic music in a unique combination. This project has led him to perform in some of Prague’s top clubs.

Currently, his main project is the duo Lucho & Max, a collaboration with singer and keyboardist Lucho Angelino. Together, they explore a sound that fuses their influences and musical experiences, delivering fresh and engaging performances.

In recent years, Max has also frequently performed in Japan, collaborating with guitarist Toshiro Miyawaki and bassist Satashi Miyashita, forming a trio that plays in some of Tokyo’s best venues.

His passion for music drives him to continuous artistic evolution, enriched by collaborations with musicians from diverse backgrounds and performances on international stages.
